Liverpool manager Arne Slot has urged Mohamed Salah to sign a new contract and continue his career with the Reds.
The Egyptian forward has been in outstanding form this season, but his current deal is set to expire in June, fueling speculation over his future. According to Softfootball, Salah has continued to attract interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
Salah has been linked with a possible move to Saudi Arabia, but Slot hopes the 32-year-old will choose to remain at Anfield and continue playing a key role in Liverpool’s ambitions.
Speaking about the situation, Slot admitted that Liverpool would be delighted if Salah decides to extend his stay with the club. Slot said.
We want him to extend, of course, as well. That is clear.
The Dutchman added that he understands why Salah continues to attract interest from clubs around the world, given his impressive performances and experience.
I’m not surprised that Saudi wants him, I’m also not surprised if other countries want him as well
he added.
Slot believes Salah is experienced enough to make the right decision about his future and hopes that choice will see him remain at Liverpool. He said:
