Softfootball can confirm Liverpool Football Club have announced a major commercial change, confirming Turkish Airlines as the club’s new main partner from June 1, 2027.
The agreement will see Turkish Airlines’ branding displayed prominently on the front of the men’s, women’s and Academy match shirts from the beginning of the 2027-28 season.
The partnership will bring an end to Standard Chartered’s 17-year spell as Liverpool’s front-of-shirt partner. Standard Chartered first appeared on the famous Liverpool shirt in 2010 and will remain in the club’s commercial family after transitioning into a global partner role from June 2027.
The change represents the first front-of-shirt partner switch at Liverpool in 17 years and marks a new chapter in the club’s commercial strategy.
Liverpool chief commercial officer Ben Latty expressed his delight at welcoming the Turkish airline while also paying tribute to Standard Chartered’s long-standing contribution to the club.
This is a milestone announcement for us and we are delighted to welcome Turkish Airlines as our main club partner from June 2027
Latty said.
He highlighted the special significance of the Liverpool shirt and pointed to the existing relationship between the club and Turkish Airlines, referencing “those special memories back in 2005.”
Latty also acknowledged Standard Chartered’s contribution during what has been an exceptional period in Liverpool’s history, confirming that the financial institution will continue its association with the club as a global partner.
Turkish Airlines CEO Ahmet Olmustur described Liverpool as one of the most recognised and respected football clubs in the world, highlighting the club’s heritage and global supporter base.
We are very pleased that Turkish Airlines will become the club’s main club partner and that our name will take its place on one of the most iconic shirts in world sport
Olmustur said.

The Turkish Airlines chief also stressed the shared global ambitions of the two organisations, with the airline connecting people, cultures and continents through its extensive international network.
According to Olmustur, the partnership brings together two global brands united by their international reach, commitment to excellence and ability to inspire millions of people around the world.
The agreement also represents an important development in Turkish Airlines’ involvement in global sport, with the company emphasising its belief in sport’s ability to connect communities and transcend borders.
Meanwhile, the announcement comes during a period of significant change at Anfield, both commercially and within Liverpool’s football operations.
Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes has also resigned after two years in the role, informing the club’s ownership of his decision to pursue a new challenge. Hughes played an important part in recruitment and the club’s football operations during the transition following Jürgen Klopp’s departure.
With Turkish Airlines set to take over the front of the iconic Liverpool shirt from 2027, the club are preparing for a new commercial era while retaining Standard Chartered within the wider Liverpool FC family.
