Hansi Flick has dismissed growing speculation around Robert Lewandowski’s future at Barcelona, insisting the focus must remain on the team’s objectives.
Speaking amid transfer rumours, Flick made it clear that this is not the right moment for such discussions, stressing that the squad must stay locked in on their targets.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano via his x handle, the manager emphasized unity and concentration as Barcelona push forward in both domestic and European competitions.
Romano reported;
Hansi Flick on Lewandowski’s future: “This is not the time to talk about this.”
“We have a great goal and all the players must focus on this and give our best version, this is not the time to talk about this”.
This comes at a time when Lewandowski is still delivering at the highest level. Striker recently achieved a major milestone in the UEFA Champions League, surpassing Lionel Messi’s record by scoring against his 41st different opponent during Barcelona’s dominant win over Newcastle United.

The performance not only highlighted his consistency but also reinforced his place among the competition’s all-time greats, alongside names like Cristiano Ronaldo.
Lewandowski’s form has also sparked renewed interest from abroad, particularly from clubs in Saudi Arabia. However, reports suggest that despite lucrative offers, the Polish forward remains committed to Barcelona.
Softfootball reported that his decision is driven more by sporting ambition and personal satisfaction than financial gain, with the striker keen to continue competing at the highest level rather than making an early exit.
Discussions around his future are expected to become clearer in the coming months, with Barcelona weighing up a possible short term extension.
For now, though, the focus remains on performance, with Lewandowski continuing to lead the line while also guiding emerging talents like Lamine Yamal.
With Barcelona still chasing major honours this season, Flick’s message is simple: no distractions, just results.
