Softfootball can confirm that Manchester City have submitted a new bid for Elliot Anderson, offering a £106 million guaranteed fee plus £15 million in add‑ons for the Nottingham Forest midfielder.

Reports indicate that Nottingham Forest are holding out for over £120 million fixed, especially as they are aware of Manchester United’s interest in the 21‑year‑old. Forest remain firm on their valuation and are prepared to wait for the right offer.

New Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca is pushing strongly for the deal to be completed, viewing Anderson as a key piece in his midfield rebuild. Maresca wants the transfer finalised quickly as City also continue working on a move for Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United.
