Romelu Lukaku is edging closer to joining Fenerbahçe from Napoli, with an agreement already reached on the player’s side and negotiations between the two clubs progressing rapidly.
The Turkish giants have made Lukaku a priority attacking target as they look to add more experience and firepower to their squad ahead of the new season.
Softfootball understands that Fenerbahçe initially submitted a €6 million proposal to Napoli for the Belgian striker, but the offer was rejected by the Serie A club. However, the Istanbul-based side are not giving up on the transfer and are preparing an improved bid in an attempt to bridge the gap between the two clubs.
Lukaku has already given his approval to the proposed move, leaving the final agreement between Napoli and Fenerbahçe as the main obstacle to completing the transfer.

Fenerbahçe believe his qualities could provide another major attacking option as they continue building an ambitious squad for the upcoming campaign.
With an improved offer now being prepared, negotiations are expected to accelerate in the coming days. Napoli’s willingness to compromise on their valuation could ultimately determine whether Lukaku completes his move to Turkey.
