Reports reaching Softfootball is that Fenerbahçe SK have dismissed head coach Domenico Tedesco following a crushing 3-0 derby defeat to Galatasaray SK, a result that effectively ended their Süper Lig title hopes.
The decision, confirmed by Fabrizio Romano via his X handle on April 27, 2026, comes despite Fenerbahçe losing only two league matches all season. He stated:
BREAKING: Fenerbahçe have sacked the manager Domenico Tedesco. 💛💙❌

However, the heavy derby loss leaves them seven points behind their rivals with just three games remaining, making a title comeback highly unlikely.
Tedesco had only been appointed in September on a two-year deal, replacing José Mourinho, who departed after a Champions League playoff exit to SL Benfica before later taking charge of the Portuguese side.
In a wider shake-up, the club have also parted ways with sporting director Devin Özek and football coordinator Berke Çelebi. Assistant coach Zeki Murat Göle will oversee the team for the remainder of the season.

Elsewhere, Francesco Farioli has confirmed he will remain at FC Porto despite interest from Chelsea FC, prioritising stability ahead of next season.
