Joy Omewa Signs for BK Häcken on Long‑Term Deal After Leaving Nottingham Forest

Super Falcons star Joy Omewa has completed a move to BK Häcken, signing a contract that will keep her at the Swedish club until June 2029.

Softfootball confirmed on 3 June that she would leave Nottingham Forest at the end of the 2025/2026 season, a departure that became official today, Monday, 20 July 2026.

Omewa originally joined Nottingham Forest on 27 January 2026, signing a permanent short‑term deal from Danish side Fortuna Hjørring until the end of the campaign.

Her impact was immediate. She made her debut on 1 February 2026, scoring against Birmingham City, and went on to record 3 goals in 10 league appearances during her half‑season spell, a productive stint that showcased her attacking quality and adaptability.
