Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare has been named Genk’s Man of the Match after delivering a brilliant two-goal performance in his side’s 2-2 Belgian Pro League draw against Royal Antwerp.

Arokodare rescued a valuable point for the league leaders with a brace, earning the highest number of votes ahead of Noah Adedeji-Sternberg and Ibrahima Sory Bangoura. Softfootball understands Genk announced the award on their official X account following the Boxing Day encounter.

The 24-year-old continued his impressive goalscoring form by netting his 12th and 13th league goals of the campaign, extending his tally after already surpassing last season’s return.

Beyond his two goals, Arokodare produced an outstanding all-round display, registering five shots on target and completing 22 passes before being substituted in the 83rd minute.

His performance helped Genk remain at the top of the Belgian Pro League standings, maintaining their advantage over closest challengers Club Brugge as the title race gathers momentum.
