AC Milan have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Portuguese striker Gonçalo Ramos in a blockbuster transfer that will shatter the club’s all-time transfer record, Softfootball reports.
The deal represents a major statement of intent from the Rossoneri, becoming not only the most expensive signing in AC Milan’s history but also the biggest transfer completed in Serie A since Inter signed Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United for €74 million in 2019. It also surpasses the fee Milan paid Lille for Rafael Leão in 2019.
Ramos is set to become the first signing of the Ruben Amorim era at San Siro, with the new head coach making the striker his priority target to lead Milan’s attack.

The Portuguese manager knows Ramos well, having followed his development closely, and viewed him as the ideal solution to strengthen the club’s No. 9 position ahead of the new campaign.
The striker’s own desire to work under Amorim also played a significant role in the swift progress of the negotiations, with the player reportedly convinced by the sporting project being built at Milan.
The move also comes shortly after reports suggested Milan had officially submitted an offer to Paris Saint-Germain as they searched for a new attacking leader. Those negotiations have now culminated in an agreement that signals the club’s ambition to challenge for major honours domestically and in Europe.
For Paris Saint-Germain, Ramos’ departure could pave the way for further changes in attack, with the French champions currently engaged in negotiations with Juventus over the future of Randal Kolo Muani.
With Ramos now set to arrive at San Siro, AC Milan have delivered one of the biggest transfer statements of the summer, handing Ruben Amorim a marquee signing as he begins a new chapter in charge of the seven-time European champions.
