UEFA through their X channel has highlighted a special grassroots initiative ahead of the 2026 UEFA Women’s Champions League Final in Oslo, where 50 girls from the Rosa Sko Foundation were invited to experience the final between FC Barcelona Femení and Olympique Lyonnais Féminin at Ullevaal Stadion.
The initiative featured training sessions, player interactions, and activities designed to inspire young girls through direct exposure to elite women’s football. UEFA also revealed that 10-year-old Hadiya would assist UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin during the medal presentation ceremony at the final.
Softfootball understands that the Rosa Sko Foundation focuses on increasing girls’ participation in sports, particularly among minority communities in Oslo, and has previously contributed to grassroots activities connected to the 2025 UEFA Women’s EURO.
Accompanied by images of smiling participants in front of colorful graffiti artwork, UEFA’s campaign reinforced its #EveryChildIsAChampion initiative aimed at encouraging future generations of female athletes.
UEFA shared:
Next stop: Oslo! For this season’s #UWCLfinal, 50 girls from Rosa Sko Foundation will experience the occasion up close as Barcelona face OL Lyonnes at Ullevaal Stadion. Alongside attending the final, the group will watch official training sessions, meet the players and cheer on 10-year-old Hadiya as she helps UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin present the medals after the match. #EveryChildIsAChampion

The announcement follows UEFA’s recent FedEx Performance Zone graphic celebrating standout individual statistics from the Champions League semi-finals, where Declan Rice led all players for runs into the attacking third during Arsenal’s successful semi-final campaign against Atlético Madrid.

In Saudi Arabia, Al-Nassr FC secured the Saudi Pro League title after a commanding 4-1 victory over Al-Damac FC.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice in the match, taking his tally to 30 goals in all competitions this season while also winning his first Saudi Pro League title since arriving in the country.
