Rodri is set to return to Spain after Barcelona received the final green light from Manchester City to complete a major midfield signing.
Barcelona have reached an agreement with Manchester City for Rodri, with the Spanish midfielder now set to join the Catalan giants after weeks of negotiations.
The deal is worth €60 million fixed, plus €6 million in easily achievable add-ons and a further €10 million in difficult-to-achieve bonuses, taking the potential package to €76 million.
Rodri is expected to sign a four-year contract until June 2030 with Barcelona later this week.
The midfielder has been given authorisation to travel to Barcelona today, Monday, with his medical already booked by the Catalan club. Barcelona have also begun planning the travel and medical arrangements for João Cancelo as part of their transfer activity.

Softfootball reported five days ago that Manchester City had rejected Barcelona’s second proposal of around £55 million as negotiations continued over the valuation.
Barcelona subsequently returned with an improved offer, eventually securing City’s approval and the green light to complete the transfer.
Rodri, a former Ballon d’Or winner, has been determined to join Barça and is now set to begin a new chapter at the club after seven highly successful years at Manchester City.
