Spain bounced back from draw against Cape Verde with a huge 4-0 victory over Saudi Arabia

Luis de la Fuente’s side looked sharp and ruthless in Arlington, Texas, putting aside frustrations from their goalless opener. Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the 10th minute, converting after Oyarzabal’s clever play, Softfootball reports.

Oyarzabal then took center stage, scoring twice in quick succession (21st and 24th minutes) to put Spain firmly in control. The rout was completed just after halftime when Hassan Al Tambakti turned the ball into his own net.

Spain’s attacking fluency was a stark contrast to their struggles against Cape Verde who withstood a dominant display to come away with a 0-0 draw, with Oyarzabal silencing critics after his muted display in the first match. Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, offered little resistance and now face an uphill battle to qualify.
