Softfootball can confirm Real Madrid are increasingly confident of securing Vinícius Júnior’s long-term future after positive discussions over a new contract.

The Spanish giants remain optimistic that the Brazilian forward will soon give the final green light to the club’s latest renewal proposal. Following fresh talks, both Real Madrid and Vinícius’ representatives are understood to be encouraged by the progress made, with negotiations moving in a positive direction.

José Mourinho is also reported to have become involved in the discussions, adding another intriguing element to the ongoing contract saga.

Earlier, Real Madrid informed Vinícius and his representatives that the latest proposal on the table is the club’s final offer and that no improved terms will be presented.

Club officials also made it clear they are unwilling to risk the forward entering the final year of his contract without an agreement. Madrid are determined to avoid a scenario in which Vinícius could negotiate a free transfer with overseas clubs from January 2027, and have indicated they would consider selling the Brazilian before reaching that stage if no renewal is agreed.

With both parties now expressing optimism after the latest meeting, Real Madrid are hopeful a final agreement can be reached in the coming days, securing the future of one of the club’s most important players.
