Spain capped a historic 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign by sweeping the major individual honours after defeating Argentina 1-0 in the final to lift their second world title.
Softfootball gathered that Midfielder Rodri was named the tournament’s Golden Ball winner after producing a series of commanding performances throughout Spain’s unbeaten run to glory.
France captain Kylian Mbappé claimed the Golden Boot with 10 goals, becoming the first player to win the award in consecutive FIFA World Cups.
Spain’s dominance was further reflected in the remaining individual awards, with goalkeeper Unai Simón receiving the Golden Glove and teenage defender Pau Cubarsí named Best Young Player of the tournament.

The Netherlands were honoured with the FIFA Fair Play Award for their exemplary conduct throughout the competition.
