Juric’s departure came after Southampton endured a difficult Premier League campaign that ended with relegation from the top flight.

The club now faces the challenge of rebuilding ahead of their return to the Championship.

Onuachu and Aribo were among the Nigerian players involved with Southampton during the campaign and will now have to adapt to a new coaching philosophy.

A change in management could provide both players with an opportunity to impress the incoming manager.

Their future roles will depend on the plans of the new manager and the club’s recruitment strategy.

Southampton will need to make important decisions regarding their squad as they prepare for life outside the Premier League.

The club’s immediate objective will be to challenge for promotion and return to the top flight as quickly as possible.

For Onuachu and Aribo, the next stage of their Southampton careers could therefore be crucial.

Both players will hope to remain part of the club’s plans and contribute to its rebuilding process.
