Arsenal’s title charge has come under heavy scrutiny once again after their narrow defeat to Manchester City, with reactions growing louder across fan spaces.

Softfootball reported that The loss has only strengthened the narrative that Arsenal’s Premier League dreams are slipping away at a crucial stage, especially coming after another damaging setback against Southampton earlier in the run in.

One viral reaction came from a passionate YouTube rant, where the creator didn’t hold back at all on his youtube channel, saying:

Arsenal has bottled the Premier League again. I cannot believe this. How do you spend seven months at the top and then in just one month, before April even finishes, you throw everything away? You went from talking about a quadruple to a treble, then a double, and now you have nothing. From this point on, I don’t think anyone will take you seriously again until you actually win the league.

The mentality is the problem. Did Arsenal come into this game to win? No. Manchester City did. That’s the difference. Rodri told you this since 2024 mentality. You said he talks too much, now look at it playing out. I’m starting to think Arteta has a losing mentality because how do you keep finishing second again and again? You had gaps 8 points, 9 points, even close to 16 and now you’re here again.

This is bottling, plain and simple. Football doesn’t lie. You’ve been surviving, but eventually it catches up with you. Man City came with the mindset to win, Arsenal didn’t. Even your goal came from an error, not open play.

That tells you everything. Pep has found his formula again, and with players like Rodri and Bernardo Silva, they control everything. Rodri is the difference he dictates the game, relieves pressure, and wins matches.

Arsenal players looked scared, not bold, not ready to take risks. And when that mentality comes from the manager, it spreads. This is the same story every year. At some point, you have to ask how long can this continue?

The reaction captures the frustration building around Arsenal’s season. While the team has shown quality in phases, moments like these continue to raise serious questions about mentality, consistency, and whether they truly have what it takes to go all the way.
