Group B is set, and it has a familiar face in it for Nigeria heading into next summer’s tournament in Morocco.

The Super Falcons will face Tunisia, Algeria, and Botswana at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, following Friday’s draw at the Mohamed VI Football Complex near Rabat.

The pairing with Algeria carries particular intrigue given Nigeria’s recent dominance over the Green Ladies, having beaten them 2-0 and 4-1 in friendlies last month — a detail Softfootball can confirm ahead of the tournament draw.

Tunisia arrive with pedigree of their own as quarter-finalists from the last edition, while Botswana qualified by eliminating Gabon during the qualifying series.

Elsewhere in the draw, hosts Morocco landed in Group A alongside Zambia, Senegal, and DR Congo, while defending champions South Africa take on Ghana, Mali, and Tanzania in Group C.

The tournament runs from July 5 to 26, 2025, with Morocco having finished runners-up last time and Zambia claiming bronze at Nigeria’s expense. Nigeria now begin serious preparations knowing exactly who stands between them and another continental title.
