Gusau believes Nigeria must build on the positives from the Unity Cup as attention turns towards more important international assignments.

The tournament also gave several players an opportunity to impress, particularly those looking to establish themselves within the senior national team.

With Nigeria preparing for crucial fixtures in the coming months, Gusau wants the Super Eagles to maintain their momentum and continue improving.

The NFF leadership is expected to support Eric Chelle as he works to develop a competitive squad capable of challenging for major honours.

Gusau’s comments underline the federation’s belief that the Unity Cup can serve as a foundation for a stronger Super Eagles side in future competitions.
