Eduardo Camavinga has issued a public apology after his red card contributed to Real Madrid’s exit from the UEFA Champions League against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
The midfielder was sent off in the 86th minute after receiving a second yellow card for delaying a free-kick. The dismissal came at a crucial moment as Bayern scored twice late on to secure a 6-4 aggregate win and end Madrid’s European campaign in dramatic fashion.
As shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X handle:
Fabrizio Romano reported;
Eduardo Camavinga: “I take responsibility for my part”.
“I want to apologise to team and to the Madridistas. Thank you for support, hala Madrid”.

The French midfielder admitted his mistake and took full responsibility for the incident.
Following the defeat, pressure has grown around Real Madrid’s management after a disappointing European exit. Coach Álvaro Arbeloa admitted the red card was a turning point in the match, while Softfootball believes this result could intensify discussions over his long-term future as the club considers a possible rebuild.
Bayern Munich’s win was sealed by a standout performance from Michael Olise, who scored a stunning 94th-minute winner to complete a brilliant display. He was named Man of the Match as Bayern secured a semi-final place against Paris Saint-Germain.

Real Madrid will now turn their attention back to La Liga, where they remain nine points behind leaders Barcelona with only a few matches left. The club is also expected to review disciplinary issues after Arda Güler received a late red card for abusive language following the final whistle.
