The Franz Beckenbauer Supercup will take place on 08/22 in Dortmund! 🔥

Softfootball understands The announcement was made after the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) finalised the venue and kick-off details for the prestigious curtain-raiser between the Bundesliga champions and runners-up.
The competition was renamed in honour of legendary Bayern icon Franz Beckenbauer following his passing in January 2024. Normally contested between the Bundesliga champions and DFB-Pokal winners, this year’s edition will instead feature Borussia Dortmund after FC Bayern Munich secured the domestic double.
It will mark the tenth Supercup meeting between Bayern and Dortmund, with Bayern winning five previous encounters while Dortmund have lifted the trophy four times. The two clubs also remain the most successful teams in the competition’s history with 11 and six titles respectively.

Meanwhile, Harry Kane finished the 2025/26 campaign as Europe’s top scorer, winning the European Golden Boot, while Bayern president Herbert Hainer also confirmed the club want Michael Olise to remain in Munich despite growing interest in the winger.
