Atalanta sporting director Tony D’Amico has dismissed speculation linking Ademola Lookman with a January exit, insisting the Nigerian forward will remain at the Serie A club despite growing interest from Liverpool.
Lookman has been one of Atalanta’s standout performers this season, attracting attention from several European clubs with his impressive displays. Softfootball understands the reigning Europa League champions have no intention of weakening their squad during the winter transfer window.

Speaking about the club’s transfer plans, D’Amico stressed that retaining key players remains Atalanta’s priority.
He said:
Certainly, the January transfer window is a difficult one for all clubs. If there are any opportunities, we will go for them, but obviously maintaining the full squad that we currently have at our disposal.
Lookman underlined his importance once again by providing the assist for Atalanta’s late equaliser in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Lazio.
The Super Eagles star has now contributed 11 goals and six assists in 20 appearances across all competitions this season.
