Southampton United secured a much needed 2 – 1 victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday, with Nigerian duo Joe Aribo and Paul Onuachu both finding the net for the struggling Saints.
Joe Aribo opened the scoring in the 21st minute, registering his third Premier League goal of the season in his 23rd appearance for Southampton.

Softfootball reports that Ipswich responded through Liam Delap, who restored parity in the 31st minute and gave the hosts renewed hope of securing a positive result.
However, Southampton United had the final say when Paul Onuachu scored with just three minutes of normal time remaining to seal an important victory for the relegation-threatened side.
The goal was the Nigerian striker’s second in 14 league appearances this season and helped Southampton end a run of six consecutive Premier League defeats.
Despite the win, Southampton United remain at the bottom of the table with nine points, eight points adrift of safety.
