Everton in advanced talks to sign Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish

Everton are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Manchester City midfielder, Jack Grealish on loan for the season. The winger faces little future at the Etihad Stadium having been told to leave by Pep Guardiola.

Softfootball understands that the Toffees have not been put off by the Cityzens demands, and are prepared to pay the bulk of the 29-year-old’s mouthwatering wage, which could result in a loan move worth £12m.

Grealish was axed from the City squad for the Club World Cup in the USA. With the new season now just a week away, the England international is yet to find a new club but it appears that Everton could offer him a way out.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his X handle, David Moyes’ side are upping their attempts to take Grealish to Merseyside. The player has opened doors to the move and negotiations are in advance stage. He tweeted:

“Everton keep advancing in talks for Jack Grealish as priority target. The player has opened doors to the move and negotiations are underway.

Everton and Man City, discussing terms of loan deal as @pauljoyce reports”.

Jack Grealish could become Everton’s sixth signing of the summer should the deal go through. They have already completed deals for Thierno Barry and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea and Villarreal respectively.
