A blue-on-blue battle takes centre stage on the opening night of the 2026/27 Champions League league phase as Porto welcome Manchester City to the Estadio do Dragao on Tuesday evening.
Both clubs have made perfect starts to their domestic campaigns, setting up a highly anticipated European contest in Portugal. With the two sides meeting for the fifth time competitively, something will have to give when Porto and Manchester City go head-to-head.
For Manchester City, the fixture represents the beginning of a new era in European competition. Not since the 2015/16 season have the Citizens entered a Champions League campaign without Pep Guardiola as their manager.
