As Nigeria’s Super Falcons prepare for their 2028 Olympic Games qualifying campaign against Comoros, several players have returned to the Flamingos setup following their participation in the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
The returning players will now rejoin the Flamingos as preparations continue for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
Among those back with the team are
- Precious Oscar
- Favour Nkwocha
- Tosin Rafiu
- Queen Joseph
- Goalkeeper Jane Ijirigho.
Their return provides a boost for the Flamingos as the Nigerian U17 girls continue their build-up to the global tournament, with a number of players bringing valuable experience gained from competing at the U20 World Cup.
The development comes as attention also turns to the Super Falcons, who are set to begin preparations for their 2028 Olympic Games qualifying campaign.

Interim head coach Augustine Eguavoen recently named a 28-player squad for the two-legged qualifier against Comoros, with camp scheduled to open in Ikenne on Sunday, October 4.
While the Super Falcons focus on securing progress in the Olympic qualifiers, the Flamingos will continue their preparations for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup with the return of several players from the Falconets setup.
The presence of Precious Oscar, Favour Nkwocha, Tosin Rafiu, Queen Joseph and Jane Ijirigho is expected to strengthen the squad as Nigeria intensifies preparations for the tournament in Morocco.
