Nigeria’s Flamingos have been crowned champions of the 2026 WAFU-B U17 Girls Cup after a commanding 4–0 victory over Togo in the final.
The Flamingos delivered another impressive performance to complete a perfect campaign, winning all five of their matches and finishing the tournament unbeaten.
Nigeria took control of the final early on, with Chidera Harmony opening the scoring from the penalty spot in the 15th minute. The forward doubled the advantage ten minutes before half-time, converting another penalty to give the Flamingos a 2–0 lead at the break.
The Nigerian side continued to dominate after the restart and added a third goal in the 67th minute through Oluebube Umejiaku.

Oluwakemi Adegbuyi then completed the emphatic victory in the 90th minute, sealing a 4–0 win and confirming Nigeria as champions of the competition.
The triumph caps a remarkable tournament for the Flamingos, who maintained their winning momentum from the opening match to the final.
Nigeria began their campaign with a 5–0 victory over Niger before defeating Ghana 4–2 in their second game.
The Flamingos then recorded consecutive 2–0 victories over Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire before producing another commanding performance against Togo in the final.

It was a five-star campaign from the Flamingos, who combined attacking quality, defensive solidity and consistency to finish the competition as unbeaten champions.
