Colo Colo have officially completed the signing of Cape Verde international Vozinha, with the veteran goalkeeper putting pen to paper after reaching a verbal agreement with the Chilean giants earlier this week.

Softfootball understands that the 40-year-old has signed his contract and is now preparing to travel to Chile, where he will undergo his medical examinations before being unveiled by the club. Formalities have now been finalized, paving the way for the experienced shot-stopper to begin a new chapter in South America.

Vozinha enjoyed a remarkable rise in profile during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Cape Verde captain became one of the tournament’s surprise stars, keeping a memorable clean sheet against eventual champions Spain and producing standout performances against Argentina and other elite opposition.

His outstanding displays earned him a place in FIFA’s fan-voted Dream Team, cementing his status as one of the breakout performers of the competition.

Colo Colo believe his presence will strengthen the squad both on and off the pitch after missing out on alternative goalkeeping targets, including Santiago Mele.

The signing also represents a major statement by the Chilean giants, who are adding an internationally recognised goalkeeper with proven big-match pedigree as they continue to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the season.
