Real Madrid have stepped up their pursuit of RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomandé after submitting an official opening offer worth €100 million.
The proposal, structured as €90 million guaranteed plus €10 million in add-ons, has been rejected by RB Leipzig, who are demanding a higher fee before considering the sale of the highly rated Ivory Coast international.
Despite the setback, negotiations between the clubs remain ongoing, while Real Madrid have also opened discussions with the player’s representatives as they look to reach an agreement.
Softfootball understands Paris Saint-Germain continue to hold talks with RB Leipzig after weeks of negotiations, but no breakthrough has been reached.
Manchester City and Arsenal also made enquiries for Diomandé over the past 10 days. However, the player has not opened the door to either Premier League club, and neither side has submitted a formal bid.
At present, Real Madrid are the only club actively pushing to rival PSG for Diomandé’s signature, with discussions continuing after their initial €100 million proposal was turned down.
