Kano Pillars technical adviser Usman Abdallah has praised Ahmed Musa for the positive influence he has brought to the club since rejoining for a third spell.

Softfootball understands that the experienced forward has quickly become a key figure both on and off the pitch for the Sai Masu Gida.

Musa marked his return in style by scoring twice in Kano Pillars’ 2-0 victory over Sunshine Stars and has continued to provide leadership despite the team’s recent 2-0 defeat to Akwa United.

Speaking after Sunday’s NPFL clash in Uyo, Abdallah highlighted the former Super Eagles captain’s value to the squad.

Ahmed Musa has come with a whole lot of positives to this team,

Abdallah said.

He is our captain and brings motivation, leadership and experience. You could see his influence during our game against Akwa United.

The former Enyimba coach also noted that Musa’s presence has increased fan interest, attracting larger crowds both at home and away matches.

According to Abdallah, the winger’s return has boosted the club beyond his contributions on the field.

Looking ahead, the Kano Pillars boss insisted his side must respond positively when they face defending champions Rangers in Enugu.

After losing to Akwa United, Abdallah said his team now has no option but to target all three points against the Flying Antelopes in their midweek NPFL fixture.
