Nigeria’s Falconets have secured their place in the quarter-finals of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after a commanding 3-0 victory over England in the Round of 16.
Tosin Rafiu, Janet Akekoromowei and Mary Mamudu were on target as Nigeria produced an impressive performance to eliminate England and book their place among the final eight teams.
The other completed Round of 16 fixtures also produced some notable results, with Canada, North Korea and Colombia joining Nigeria in the quarter-finals.
