UEFA Highlights Cultural Exchange as Rosenior Slams Chelsea Display

UEFA has highlighted a vibrant moment from the UEFA Friendship Cup in Türkiye, where players took part in a day of cultural exchange, Softfootball understands.

This comes alongside another major UEFA milestone, with Marie-Louise Eta set to become the first woman to manage a men’s team in one of Europe’s top five leagues when Union Berlin face VfL Wolfsburg a landmark moment for the game.

According to UEFA’s Official X handle, on April 17th 2026 teams gathered on stage in Riva to showcase traditional music and dance from their home countries, celebrating diversity and unity through football beyond the pitch.

UEFA stated:

Meanwhile, Liam Rosenior has strongly condemned Chelsea FC’s recent display, describing the team’s 3–0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion as “unacceptable in every aspect” and “indefensible,” one of his most forceful public criticisms since taking charge.
