Super Falcons Set For High-Profile Friendly Against France

Nigeria’s Nigeria women’s national football team will take on France women’s national football team in an international friendly in Angers on Saturday, November 30, 2024.

Softfootball understands that the Super Falcons head into the prestigious fixture after recording two impressive friendly victories over Algeria’s Green Ladies in Nigeria. The nine-time African champions secured a 2-0 win in Ikenne-Remo before following it up with a convincing 4-1 triumph in Lagos.

The matches also provided head coach Justine Madugu the opportunity to assess several home-based players, many of whom delivered encouraging performances.

The clash against France will be played at the Stade Raymond Kopa in the city of Angers, with kick-off scheduled for 9:30 p.m. local time.

For France, the encounter forms part of preparations for the UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign and the 2025 UEFA Women’s European Championship in Switzerland.

The Super Falcons, meanwhile, will use the fixture to continue building a refreshed squad while testing themselves against one of Europe’s top sides ahead of the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Saturday’s match will also mark only the seventh time the French women’s national team have played in the city of Angers, adding further significance to the high-profile international friendly.
