Substitute Asisat Oshoala sealed the victory in the 66th minute, calmly converting after a perfectly weighted assist from Rasheedat Ajibade, who selflessly squared the ball following a brilliant attacking move.

The second‑half performance was dominant, energetic and full of attacking quality, providing plenty of encouragement as the team continues to build momentum ahead of the 2026 WAFCON.

Joy Omewa was undoubtedly the standout performer, delivering a brilliant brace and an impressive all‑round display. Her movement, finishing and work rate once again highlighted the qualities she brings to the team and strengthened her case for a bigger role going forward.

Rasheedat Ajibade also enjoyed an excellent outing. She worked tirelessly throughout the match, constantly troubling the Senegalese defence and capping her performance with an assist for Oshoala’s goal.

Shukurat Oladipo further demonstrated why she was named Serie A Women’s Best Defender of the Year and included in the Team of the Year. Her composure on the ball, defensive awareness and ability to contribute in attack underlined her importance to this Super Falcons side.

Rufiat Imuran deserves special recognition as well. She delivered another solid performance and showed why she should remain a regular feature in the team moving forward.

These back‑to‑back friendlies provided a clearer picture of the players who have earned their place in the squad through consistent performances, while also raising questions about others who have yet to fully justify their opportunities.
