Super Eagles forward Sadiq Umar has taken to Instagram to call out the official Super Eagles page, labelling them “enemies of progress” after he was omitted from their weekend goalscorers review covering Friday 28 – Sunday 30 August 2026.
In the post made by the Super Eagles official instagram handle, an Instagram user Odogwu.samuel questioned why Umar’s goal was not included, writing:

Reacting to the comment, Sadiq Umar, on his verified Instagram account, responded jokingly:
“Because they’re enemies of progress 😉 They don move me to nba since then 😂😂”
Softfootball further gathered that the match Umar referred to was Valencia’s 3–1 defeat to Real Club Deportivo de A Coruña. Umar scored in the 26th minute, but Valencia fell after:
