Super Falcons Celebrate Babajide and Oladipo After Roma Title Triumph

Nigeria women’s national football team have congratulated Rinsola Babajide and Shukurat Oladipo after the duo helped AS Roma Women win the 2025/26 Serie A Femminile title.

Roma sealed the Scudetto on May 2, 2026, with a 2–0 victory over Ternana Women, securing the club’s third league title. Softfootball understands that the achievement also marked the first time two Nigerian internationals have won the competition together as teammates at the same club.

Also, Nigeria women’s national under-20 football team have arrived in Lilongwe ahead of the decisive second leg of their FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifier against Malawi women’s national under-20 football team. Nigeria carry a 2–0 advantage into the encounter following their first-leg win in Ikenne.

In other national team developments, Nigeria national football team have confirmed their participation in the Unity Cup tournament set to take place in London later this month.

The competition will feature Nigeria alongside India, Jamaica, and Zimbabwe. Fixtures include Nigeria facing Zimbabwe on May 26 before another clash involving India on May 30 at The Valley, home of Charlton Athletic F.C..
