Softfootball can confirm that Schalke 04 have placed their proposed move for Jesper Lindstrøm on hold despite the midfielder completing his medical tests on Sunday with Napoli’s approval.
Napoli had authorised Lindstrøm to undergo his medical ahead of the transfer, but Schalke have decided not to proceed after the exchange of documents. As a result, the deal is now in jeopardy, with uncertainty surrounding whether the move will be revived.
Meanwhile, Napoli continue to make significant progress in their pursuit of Chelsea defender Benoît Badiashile.
The Serie A club are now very close to reaching an agreement with Chelsea on a loan deal that includes an option to buy.
Although Juventus remain interested in the French centre-back, Napoli are currently leading the race to secure his signature as negotiations move towards their final stages.
