Softfootball can confirm that Napoli have reached a club-to-club verbal agreement with Chelsea to sign Benoît Badiashile on loan.
The deal includes a €3 million loan fee, a further €1 million in add-ons and a €27 million option to buy. Napoli will also cover the French defender’s salary during the loan spell.
Badiashile is now set to become a new centre-back option for Massimiliano Allegri as Napoli strengthen their defensive department ahead of the new season.
The agreement represents a significant step forward after weeks of negotiations between the two clubs, with Napoli now closing in on the arrival of the Chelsea defender.
The development comes shortly after Romelu Lukaku officially completed his move from Napoli to Fenerbahçe for a fee in excess of €6 million.

The Turkish club completed the remaining formalities after receiving final approval to proceed with the transfer, allowing Lukaku to begin a new chapter in Turkey.
The move would see the experienced forward embark on another chapter of his career, with Fenerbahçe pushing to get the deal over the line as quickly as possible.
