Softfootball reports Real Madrid have reportedly approved a surprise transfer that will see highly rated midfielder Nico Paz join Como in a deal worth €60 million, marking another unexpected chapter in the youngster’s career.
According to reports, Los Blancos had initially exercised their buy-back clause to bring Paz back to the Santiago Bernabéu. However, the Spanish giants have now decided to cash in immediately by allowing the Argentine midfielder to complete a permanent move to Como.
The agreement is understood to include a fresh buy-back clause, giving Real Madrid the opportunity to re-sign Paz in the future for a fee believed to be close to €80 million, ensuring they maintain long-term control over one of their most promising academy graduates.
The decision reportedly comes after Paz made it clear he preferred to remain at Como for another season, aware that regular first-team opportunities at Real Madrid would be difficult to secure with stars such as Jude Bellingham and Arda Güler occupying key midfield roles.

Rather than risk limiting his development on the bench, Real Madrid have opted to allow the 20-year-old to continue his progress in Italy while securing a substantial transfer fee.
For Como, securing Paz on a permanent basis represents another major statement of intent as the ambitious Italian side continue building a squad capable of competing at the highest level after qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
