Rodri’s agent, Barquero, has confirmed that the Spanish international informed Real Madrid of his decision to join Barcelona, despite the club having made an approach for him.

Barquero was quoted as saying by El Larguero.
Barcelona have now fully agreed personal terms with Rodri after sending a contract proposal to his representatives. The Catalan giants are expected to begin club-to-club negotiations with Manchester City over the transfer fee as they look to complete the deal as quickly as possible.
