Manchester United have reportedly reopened talks over a possible move for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, Softfootball gathered.

The Nigerian forward remains one of the most closely followed attackers in the summer transfer market after another strong period in European football. United are understood to be considering attacking options and have again shown interest in the prolific striker.

Osimhen’s goalscoring record and physical qualities make him an attractive target for clubs searching for a proven centre-forward. His ability to attack space, hold up play and finish chances could provide United with a different dimension in attack.

The Premier League giants have previously been linked with the Nigeria international, but any deal would depend on the financial terms involved and the player’s own preference.

Osimhen has also attracted interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere in Europe, meaning United could face strong competition for his signature.

The striker’s future has been one of the major transfer stories surrounding Nigerian football, with supporters waiting to see where he will play next season.

United will need to establish whether a deal is financially realistic before deciding how far to take their renewed interest.

If negotiations progress, Osimhen would become one of the most high-profile attacking targets in the club’s rebuilding plans.

For now, discussions are at an early stage, but the renewed contact is likely to generate further speculation over the Nigerian striker’s next destination
