Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada has highlighted the club’s record financial performance while insisting that the Reds will continue to maintain a disciplined approach to their finances as they build for the future.
Berrada’s comments came as Manchester United reported record revenues of £677.6 million for the 2026 financial year, despite playing the previous campaign without European football. The club has also projected higher revenue for the current financial year following its return to the Champions League.

The United chief said the figures demonstrate the underlying strength of the club’s business and reflect the work carried out over the past two years. He also pointed to Manchester United’s global popularity and commercial strength, while stressing that financial sustainability remains a major priority.
Berrada also highlighted the club’s investment in both the men’s and women’s teams during the summer transfer window. The men’s side strengthened its squad ahead of a season that has brought Champions League football back to Old Trafford.
On the pitch, Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by Fulham at Craven Cottage, with Matheus Cunha scoring a late equaliser to rescue a point for Michael Carrick’s side. Goalkeeper Senne Lammens also played a key role, making important saves to keep United in the contest. Manchester United’s official match coverage highlighted both Lammens’ performance and Cunha’s late leveller.
Softfootball reports that the result underlined both the work still required on the pitch and the stronger financial platform Berrada believes the club has built off it.
With Champions League football now returning, United will look to turn that financial strength into sustained progress across the club.
