Liverpool could be without as many as seven first-team players when they travel to face Everton in what will be the final Merseyside derby ever played at Goodison Park.

Arne Slot’s side head into Saturday’s clash looking to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table, but a growing injury and suspension list is complicating his selection options.

Softfootball reports that Alisson Becker, Kostas Tsimikas, and Diogo Jota all remain sidelined for the trip.

Defenders Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley, who both missed the recent draw with Newcastle, also look set to be unavailable once again.

There is a boost of sorts with Federico Chiesa back in competitive action after featuring for Liverpool’s under-21 side, though a derby start may still come too soon for the Italian.

Alexis Mac Allister will definitely miss out, having picked up a fifth booking of the season against Newcastle, which triggers an automatic one-match ban. He also faces a UEFA suspension for the upcoming Champions League trip to Girona.

Despite the absentees, Slot insists the injuries weren’t behind Liverpool’s dropped points against Newcastle.
