Liverpool will look to return to winning ways when they welcome Monaco to Anfield on Sunday for their latest pre-season friendly.
Liverpool have scored seven goals across their last three friendlies against Sunderland, Wrexham and Leeds, but defensive problems remain evident after conceding six times during that run. The Reds will begin their Premier League campaign against Newcastle United on August 23.

Monaco arrive in Merseyside with greater confidence after beating Getafe 1-0 on Thursday. Filipe Luis’ side have recorded two wins, one draw and one defeat across their four pre-season matches, scoring eight goals.
However, Monaco endured a disappointing seventh-place Ligue 1 finish last season and will begin their competitive campaign with a Conference League playoff against Strasbourg on August 20.
Team News
Liverpool will welcome back Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker and Cody Gakpo after the trio missed the club’s US tour. New signing Victor Munoz is also expected to feature.
Jeremy Jacquet and Giovanni Leoni are doubts, potentially leaving Mor Talla Ndiaye to partner Van Dijk in defence.
Monaco are expected to field a similar lineup to the one that defeated Getafe. Lamine Camara and Pape Cabral could feature in midfield, while Takumi Minamino remains unavailable with a knee injury. Mathys Detourbet, Mika Biereth and Matthis Abline are expected to lead the attack.

Liverpool possible starting lineup:

Monaco possible starting lineup:
