Liam Rosenior has officially been appointed as the new head coach of Paris FC, marking his return to Ligue 1 after agreeing a two-year contract with the newly promoted French club.

Softfootball understands that the 41-year-old Englishman has agreed all terms, with the deal also including an option to extend his stay. His appointment was confirmed alongside official photographs of Rosenior signing his contract, following reports earlier this week that negotiations were nearing completion.

Rosenior returns to French football after a difficult four-month spell as Chelsea manager. The former Strasbourg coach was dismissed by the Blues after a disastrous run that saw the club lose five consecutive matches without scoring a goal, prompting the hierarchy to end his tenure with immediate effect.

Before his move to Chelsea, Rosenior earned widespread praise for his work in Ligue 1 with Strasbourg, where his progressive style of football and ability to develop players enhanced his reputation as one of England’s brightest young coaches.

Paris FC will now hope Rosenior can bring that same tactical identity and stability as they prepare for life in Ligue 1. His experience in French football is expected to play a key role as the club aims to establish itself in the top flight.

The appointment offers Rosenior an immediate opportunity to rebuild his managerial career and begin a fresh chapter in familiar surroundings after a disappointing end to his time at Chelsea.
