Softfootball first confirmed four days ago that Villa had reached an agreement with West Ham for the right-back, with the deal then moving towards completion. All parties have reached an agreement, with the final green light now given for Wan-Bissaka to undergo his medical before completing the transfer.

Wan-Bissaka had already given the green light to the transfer and was keen to join Unai Emery’s project at Villa Park.

The move provides Villa with additional quality and experience at right-back as Emery continues to reshape his squad ahead of the new campaign.

Villa’s activity highlights their ambition to build a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts, with Wan-Bissaka potentially becoming the latest addition to Emery’s side.
