Robert Lewandowski has revealed that he feels physically strong and is eager to continue playing for Barcelona despite reaching the age of 37.

The Polish striker has enjoyed another productive campaign with the Catalan giants and appears keen to remain at the club beyond the current season.

Lewandowski, speaking at an awards ceremony in Poland, expressed his happiness with life at Barcelona and insisted he is not currently thinking about leaving the club.

I feel very good at Barcelona—not only at the club but also among the fans. I feel it every day, in the stadium, in the streets. I’m really happy where I am and the club where I play.

The experienced forward also dismissed concerns about his age, insisting that he remains in good physical condition and still has the motivation to compete at the highest level. He added saying:

I’m not ashamed, and I don’t see any problem in the fact that I’m 37 years old. From a physical point of view, I am not afraid, but it all depends on how things go.

He further made it clear that his desire to continue playing remains strong.

Today I have a smile on my face; I really want to play on the green pitches, and I want to win more. As long as my heart tells me it’s worth it, I’ll do it.

Softfootball reports that Lewandowski has continued to play an important role for Barcelona as the club competes for major honours.
