Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate believes his side will face another difficult test when they take on Nottingham Forest in Tuesday’s Premier League clash at the City Ground. Forest remain the only team to have beaten Liverpool in the league this season, and the French defender expects another fiercely contested encounter.

Konate acknowledged Forest’s impressive campaign and praised the quality they have shown against top teams.

He believes Liverpool must remain focused throughout the match, knowing that any lapse in concentration could prove costly against a confident side playing in front of its home supporters.

Speaking ahead of the game, Konate said:

We have to work very hard because we know this will be a tough game. We just have to be calm, be patient and to think game by game.

He also described the Premier League as the toughest competition in world football.

The Premier League, for me, is the hardest league in the world. Against every team it is so hard,

Konate added. Softfootball reports Liverpool are preparing for another demanding evening as they look to strengthen their position at the top of the table.
