Klopp Hopes Mohamed Salah Signs New Liverpool Contract

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has expressed his hope that Mohamed Salah will extend his contract and remain at Anfield beyond the current season. The Egyptian forward’s deal expires at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, with speculation over his future continuing as negotiations over a new agreement remain unresolved.

Salah has enjoyed another outstanding campaign, maintaining his status as one of Liverpool’s most influential players. His consistent goals, leadership and experience have made him a key figure for the Reds, prompting many supporters to call for the club to secure his long-term future as quickly as possible.

Speaking during his unveiling as Red Bull’s Global Head of Soccer, Klopp said:

I hope he stays. He is the biggest striker Liverpool had in modern times. A fantastic player, fantastic human being, outstanding athlete and the best ambassador your country could have.

The German also praised Salah’s character, describing him as fantastic in pretty much all departments. Softfootball understands Liverpool remain hopeful of reaching an agreement that will keep the Egypt international at Anfield for the coming years.
