FIFA has continued expanding its global grassroots initiatives by launching the Football for Schools (F4S) programme in Curaçao and Turkmenistan as part of its April 2026 member association activities, following plans to transform Science World in Vancouver into “The Beautiful Dome,” a massive 40-metre, 360-degree recreation of the official adidas Trionda match ball for the FIFA World Cup 2026, Softfootball reports.
FIFA revealed:

The programme was led by Bulgarian football legend Hristo Stoichkov and focuses on using football sessions for children aged 4 to 14 to develop life skills such as teamwork, discipline, communication, and self-confidence. FIFA also confirmed that local coaches and teachers will receive training to ensure the programme becomes permanently integrated into national education systems.
The announcement on their official X handle comes shortly after FIFA launched its “Be Active” campaign in Vancouver, where children from the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations participated in football sessions alongside FIFA Legends ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

In Curaçao, the initiative concluded with a large children’s festival at Ergilio Hato Stadium, where around 100 young participants joined football activities and celebrations. In Turkmenistan, Stoichkov led a football masterclass at a stadium in Ashgabat, reinforcing FIFA’s broader educational and development goals aligned with United Nations sustainability targets.
The 76th FIFA Congress in Vancouver also reaffirmed football’s role in promoting harmony, inclusion, and anti-racism efforts globally. FIFA also hosted a three-day Talent Identification Education Workshop in Rabat focused on strengthening youth scouting systems across Africa and Asia.
