Mexico City is ready to welcome the world with this stunning mural celebrating the @FIFAWorldCup 😍
The artwork, painted entirely with brushes and acrylics by a group of Mexican artists, was officially certified by Guinness World Records as the world’s largest brush-painted football mural.

The artwork, created entirely with brushes and acrylic paint by a team of Mexican artists, has officially been certified by Guinness World Records as the largest brush-painted football mural ever produced, Softfootball understands.
The mural arrives as Mexico prepares for another historic milestone in football history. On May 31, 1986, Mexico became the first nation to host the FIFA World Cup twice, having previously staged the tournament in 1970. Four decades later, the country will make history again as the first nation to host or co-host the competition three times when the 2026 FIFA World Cup takes place across Mexico, United States and Canada.

The celebration also comes shortly after FIFA officially opened the World Cup 2026 International Broadcast Centre in Dallas, with FIFA President Gianni Infantino describing the facility as one of the most advanced broadcast hubs ever created for a global sporting event.
With iconic landmarks, record-breaking projects and major infrastructure now in place, preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup continue to gather momentum across the host nations.
